Current Projects
Soup Kitchen at St. Paul’s
As part of an effort by the Maumee Rotary Club, our members make
periodic visits to St. Paul’s
Soup Kitchen in downtown Toledo.
This is an amazing experience to help those in need and
to appreciate the little things we take for granted each day.
Mom's House
Mom’s House is a nonprofit organization providing free child
care, parenting classes, counseling and scholarships for young
mothers attending school.
Each holiday season our Club purchases, wraps and
delivers presents for children of and mothers of Mom’s House.

Past Projects
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
In September 2008 our Club participated in the Race for the Cure
in downtown Toledo.
It was a truly amazing experience, and we can’t wait to
do it again next year.
Shelter Box
Rotary
International organizes the production of “Shelter Boxes” for
people around the world who are in severe distress.
A Shelter Box contains supplies of shelter, food, water,
sanitation and basic needs to sustain 10 people for six months.
Our Club supports this cause with the funds we raise at
our annual Spring Strike-Out.

Kids Unlimited
This is an after-school program for elementary school students
located in central Toledo.
Volunteers are needed to tutor students and to serve as
role models. One of
our members is a tutor for fall 2008, and continued involvement
and support from our Club is anticipated.
The Nuzum Family
The Nuzums are dear friends of the Maumee Rotary and Rotaract
clubs. They have
over 25 adopted children, many of whom have special needs.
Between the two clubs we strive make sure the Nuzums have
what they need to care for their children and live comfortably.
Over time, Rotaract has provided landscaping, school
supplies, holiday meals, picnic tables, and large wooden rafts
for their backyard pond.
This is a project that will continue each year and is one
of our favorites.
